Bookmarks

What it does

Allows you to maintain a list of shortcuts to important areas in your Workbook to speed up navigation.

Benefits

KWIK Utilities saves you time by speeding up navigation of Worksheets with multiple columns, or Workbooks that have many Worksheets.

Instructions

To Bookmark a Cell:
  1. Click 'KWIK'-> 'Navigate'-> Bookmarks'. This brings up the Bookmark form tool.
  2. Leaving the form tool active, navigate to the Cell you want to Bookmark.
  3. Click ‘Bookmark Active Cell’.
  4. Enter an optional short tag for identification, e.g. 'Financial info'.
  5. Press 'OK'.
  6. The newly added Bookmark appears on the list of bookmarks. The Tag and address are displayed. If there are already Bookmarks on the list, the new Bookmark will be added below the currently highlighted Bookmark or at the bottom if no Bookmark is highlighted.
To navigate to a Bookmark previously added:
  1. Click 'KWIK'-> 'Navigate'-> Bookmarks.
  2. Double-Click the required Bookmark which will navigate Excel to the sheet and the cell associated with the selected bookmark.
To delete a Bookmark:
  1. Click 'KWIK'-> 'Navigate'-> Bookmarks.
  2. Select the Bbookmark from the list.
  3. Press the Delete key to remove the bookmark from the list.
To change the order of a Bookmark on the list:
  1. Click 'KWIK'-> 'Navigate'-> Bookmarks.
  2. Click on the Bookmark that you want to move.
  3. Press and hold the left mouse button and drag the Bookmark up or down the list as required.
To change the size of the form tool:
  1. Click 'KWIK'-> 'Navigate'-> Bookmarks.
  2. Move the mouse over the graded area on the bottom right of the form tool until the mouse cursor changes to a two-sided arrow tool.
  3. Press and hold the left mouse button and drag to resize the form to the required size.
Notes:
  • If the cell address associated with a Bookmark changes, e.g. due to new columns being inserted to the left of the cell, the bookmark automatically adjusts to reflect the updated position.
  • Bookmarks are saved with the Workbook and are therefore available the next time the Workbook is opened.
  • You can leave the Bookmarks form tool open while you work on your spreadsheet.
  • Bookmarks are stored in a database inside the Workbook and are loaded when the form tool opens.
