Messages

What it does

  • The form displays all the errors in the active Workbook as well as all messages (warnings, notes) the user has put in the Workbook.

Instructions

  1. Create one or more formulas/values in the Workbook that act as messages to be picked up. These could be for example a formula that checks to see if a total is correct or reasonable.
  2. The format of the message must be "#message_type:message".
  3. One can create as many message types as required - messages of the same type will be shown together.
  4. For example "#Reminder:Update the date" is a valid message.
